Detailed Overhead Line Equipment Structure Kit – Mk1 25kV Type C Cantilever Tall Mast Structure for Single Track, including Magnetic Base, typical of a type fitted to the West Coast Main Line route.
This set E16-28 includes parts to construct One (1) detailed Type C Cantilever Structure with a Tall Mast that has a span to cater for single track.
One Mast Base is included in the kit, with two magnets to fit into the base and OHLE structure. The use of magnets allows the OHLE structures to be easily removed and re-fitted on your layout.
PLEASE NOTE - the registration arm is NOT included and should be purchased separately.
Registration Arm and Catenary Wire Supports for the Type C Structure available to Purchase Separately are as follows:-
• SET E16-26 - Two Single Registration Arm / Catenary Wire Support sets (magnetic type to allow fitting of Peco type OHL wires) note [wires are not included] - Product code 4WH0901626
All parts are supplied unpainted on sprues. Preparation and assembly with glue is required. Before painting it is recommended to apply a light coat of primer. Instructions are available on-line or paper copy by special request only at the time of ordering. Glue and paint is not included.
Regarding the spacing of OHLE masts, the real railway mast spacing can be vary between about 20metres and 70metres which equates to 260 to 920mm in OO Gauge. In general mast spacing is likely to be closer together at junctions and on sharper curves.
The Peco wires are available in the following lengths 200mm, 260mm, 340mm, 380mm and 500mm, so if you are fitting wires then it makes sense to space your masts to suit the Peco wire lengths. [wires are not included in this kit]

• Overall height above baseboard (including bases) - 119mm
• Overall length of structure (across the tracks) - 69mm
• Overall width of structure - 14mm
• Nominal height of contact wire (if fitted to E16-26 Magnetic Registration Arms) - 78mm above baseboard [wires not included]
