Description

Vacuum Brake and Steam Heat Pipes for both ends of two (2) Steam locomotives.

Add some extra detail to your locomotives or replace missing accessory buffer beam details (please read the full Product Description).

OO Gauge (supplied unpainted)

Most main line BR steam locomotives had provision for Vacuum Train brakes; some locos also had the provision for steam train heating.

This set of brake and steam heat pipes is enough for both ends of two (2) typical BR Locomotives, the UNPAINTED pack includes:-

4 - Vacuum Hoses with hose dummy brackets (VAC)
4 - Steam Heating Pipes (S/H)

These pipes can be fitted into a 0.7mm diameter hole in the buffer beam.  

Notes:-

• There were many variations between BR Steam locomotives in their pipe configurations, fitting and placement; therefore it is recommended to refer to photographs of the real thing when fitting these parts.
• These parts are delicate and may not be suitable for use with couplings fitted, especially on tighter radius curves.
• The pipes are supplied unpainted, please refer to pictures for typical colours.
• Top-Tip - use a light coat of primer first, and paint the pipes before removing them from the sprue.
